Simple squash puree

Did you know that butternut squash is a fruit, rather than a vegetable? The high level of vitamin C in this squash purée is preserved by the true steaming process of the Babycook- cooking destroys these high levels. Besides containing lots of vitamin C, squash also has little fiber which means that it's easy for baby to digest.

  1. Put the squash in the steamer basket.
  2. Pour water into the tank (level 3).
  3. Start the cooking process.
  4. When the squash is cooked, put it in the blending bowl, reserving the cooking liquid.
  5. Add some of the cooking liquid to bring the purée to the desired consistency and blend.
